The Today Show weather segment on Thursday 6 September was broadcast from Northern Bay College. Wexford Campus played host to Stevie Jacobs and turned on a lovely day - including the weather. Starting at 5.40 am crosses happened throughout the early morning and we are sure Steve would not mind us saying that the students were the stars.Featured programs operating at the college were highlighted and back in the studios in Sydney the compliments about the college and students were genuine, Time limits prevented a musical item from students of all campuses who performed one of their routines from the upcoming State School Spectacular .

The Geelong Father of the Year is now in its 19th Year and is run by Bethany to:
• celebrate the role of fathers and male role models through the eyes of children
• acknowledge the important role men play in families and communities
• raise awareness of Bethany’s services for men
Bethany recognises that modern families are diverse and not all children have a father in their lives. As such, students can nominate any significant male in their lives. Nominations were made for our campuses and we wish all of the entrants best wishes as they await for the winner to be announced at a breakfast on August 31.
It is a wonderful video produced by Bethany and we thank them for show-casing our college.

On Friday 4 May 100 students from the 4 P-8 campuses went to the You Yangs to help celebrate the annual Mountain to Mouth Festival. Mountain to Mouth is a multi-award winning extreme arts walk that follows in the tradition of the Watharong traditional owners, creating a songline across Geelong.

The first ceremony was at the beginning of the walk - The Gathering of the Elders at Big Rock. From the guard of honour welcoming the 150 plus people who had come to celebrate this special event, to singing a beautiful chant and song conducted by choir master, Jonathon Welch, the children of Northern Bay certainly added a magical element to the ceremony.

Northern Bay continued to play an important of the festival by singing at the Gathering of the City, Friday night in Johnstone Park. Another amazing experience and performance by the students of Northern Bay

Recently there were a small number of school family members saying less than positive things about one of our campuses. College teachers or leaders cannot resolve anyone’s concerns through public derogatory statements on Facebook. Making sure your concerns are listened to is demanded by the government and clearly stated in our policy. We can all disagree without being disagreeable.
You are very much entitled to your opinion but please use the appropriate processes to find clarity or solutions.
As required, the College has a Policy to support problem solving.
